Our Waste Management service helps organisations understand how waste is generated, handled, stored, transported, treated, and documented throughout their activities. We develop practical systems that support legal compliance, reduce environmental risk, improve resource efficiency, and strengthen operational control.

The process often begins with a detailed review of existing waste streams. We identify the types, quantities, sources, and characteristics of waste generated by a project or facility and assess the current procedures used for separation, labelling, temporary storage, transportation, recycling, treatment, and disposal.

Waste materials are classified according to their physical and chemical characteristics, potential hazards, applicable legislation, and appropriate management routes. Particular attention is given to hazardous waste, contaminated materials, construction and demolition waste, oils, chemicals, packaging, wastewater residues, and other waste streams requiring controlled handling.

Based on the findings, we prepare waste-management plans tailored to the organisation’s activities and site conditions. These plans define responsibilities, storage requirements, collection procedures, documentation systems, emergency measures, inspection routines, and approved treatment or disposal routes.

We also identify opportunities to prevent waste at its source. This may involve improving procurement practices, reducing unnecessary material use, introducing reusable systems, improving segregation, recovering valuable materials, and identifying suitable recycling opportunities.

For construction projects, our support can cover waste forecasting, site-storage design, contractor responsibilities, transport documentation, reuse of excavation materials, and monitoring throughout the construction programme. For operational facilities, we can assess long-term waste performance and develop measurable improvement targets.

Our objective is to create a waste-management system that works in practice. Recommendations are developed with consideration for available infrastructure, employee responsibilities, site limitations, contractor arrangements, cost, and regulatory requirements.
