GIS & REMOTE SENSING ASSESSMENT
A spatial and satellite-based assessment used to evaluate land conditions, identify environmental constraints, and support informed development planning.

AZGREEN delivered a GIS and remote-sensing assessment for a proposed land-use development requiring a clearer understanding of the project area and its surrounding environmental conditions.
The project combined Geographic Information System analysis with satellite imagery, available environmental datasets, project information, and field observations. This integrated approach allowed the project team to assess a large area efficiently and identify important spatial relationships that may not have been immediately visible through conventional documentation alone.
Detailed mapping was prepared for project boundaries, existing land use, settlements, roads, water features, vegetation, infrastructure, sensitive areas, and other relevant environmental receptors. The analysis helped identify potential constraints, areas requiring further investigation, and locations where project activities could create environmental interactions.
Historical and recent satellite imagery was reviewed to examine changes in land cover, development patterns, vegetation, drainage, and surface conditions over time. This provided additional context for understanding how the area had changed and how future development could affect existing environmental features.
The resulting spatial information was organised into clear thematic maps and project-ready visual materials. These outputs supported site planning, environmental assessment, monitoring design, stakeholder communication, and the comparison of potential development alternatives.
By transforming complex environmental data into understandable spatial information, the project gave decision-makers a stronger technical basis for selecting appropriate locations, reducing environmental risk, and planning future activities more responsibly.
