AZGREEN conducted a comprehensive Environmental and Social Impact Assessment for a major construction development in Azerbaijan. The assessment was designed to identify the potential environmental and social effects associated with the proposed project and ensure that these considerations were incorporated into planning and decision-making from an early stage.

The study examined existing conditions across the project area, including land use, air quality, noise, water resources, soil conditions, biodiversity, traffic, nearby communities, and other sensitive environmental and social receptors. Available project documentation was reviewed alongside site observations and relevant environmental information to establish a reliable baseline.

Potential impacts were assessed for the construction and operational phases of the development. Particular attention was given to construction dust and noise, waste generation, increased traffic, soil disturbance, drainage, water use, occupational activities, and possible effects on surrounding communities.

AZGREEN developed a structured set of mitigation and management measures based on the significance of each identified impact. These included pollution-prevention controls, monitoring requirements, site-management procedures, stakeholder considerations, and clearly assigned implementation responsibilities.

The final assessment provided the client with a practical framework for managing environmental and social risks throughout project delivery. It also supported regulatory documentation, contractor planning, internal decision-making, and communication with relevant project stakeholders.
